709 Apparatus

709 is a 2000 Kenworth Model T300 Rescue Truck. Its primary functions are to carry various rescue equipment, provide electrical power at the scene, provide hydraulic power for extrication tools, provide compressed air from storage bottles to refill air packs, and to provide light from a light tower at the scene when needed. In addition this truck carries a wide array of rescue and other equipment the department uses to perform its functions.

705 Apparatus |
705 is a 1996 Freightliner with a 1,500 GPM Pump and a 3,100 gallon booster tank. As well as pumping and tanker functions, the truck carries additional gear used in fire suppression operations. |

706 Apparatus |
706 is a 1991 Chevrolet Model 3500 four wheel drive with an independent auxiliary pump and a 300 gallon booster tank. This trucks primary function is to fight brush fires. Its secondary function is in support of motor vehicle accident calls including carrying backup extrication equipment.

703 is a 1987 GMC Pumper with a 1,250 GPM pump and a 1,000 gallon booster tank. In addition to its pumper function, the truck carries additional equipment used in fire suppression activity.

M70 Apparatus |
M70 is a 1972 Ford/Olson Step Van. Its functions are to carry additional personnel and materials as needed and to operate as an on scene command post. It also carries dry suits used in ice rescue work.

1908 |
This is a picture of the first piece of equipment purchased by Germantown Hose Company No. 1. It is a 1908 chemical tank pulled by hand. It held 35 gallons of water which was discharged under pressure by adding chemicals to the water creating soda.
